Being a Professor - Communication provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Communication typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Description
We are seeking a Data Technician I to join the Structured Cabling Team in Waco, TX. This position is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing cable infrastructure in a low voltage environment. The ideal candidate will be able to meet the physical demands of the worksite while also providing excellent customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of cable systems and associated hardware.
- Responsible for the use of hand and power tools as well as work in small spaces and from various heights.
- Assists with housekeeping for a safe job site.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to ask applicable questions and willingness to learn new skills.
- Punctuality and consistent daily attendance
- BASIC HAND TOOLS OWNED BY EMPLOYEE, (DRILL, SNIPS, SCREWDRIVERS)
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools to perform assigned job site tasks.
- Understanding of safety as it relates to each division and the use of appropriate safety measures in daily tasks.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- No technical or previous industry experience. Higher wages reserved for similar background/experience (Construction, Electrical, or some sort of tradecraft).
- OSHA 10 preferred but not required for hire.
Physical Requirements
- Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Able to sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, and climb.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to work on a ladder up 8 hours.
- Able to work in confined spaces.
