Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Drama typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Position Description Independence Charter Middle School (ICMS) is currently accepting applications for middle school drama and debate teachers for the 2024-2025 school year.

    At ICMS, our students can elect to take debate and drama electives. In these electives, students study dramatic techniques, public speaking, and debate. Recognizing the importance of ongoing professional development, ICMS teachers benefit from an hour and a half of protected Professional Learning Community (PLC) time every Monday morning. This dedicated time allows teachers to collaboratively review student data, enhance instructional practices, and continually improve student learning outcomes.
