As a WVTRET II/IIII Field Inspector in the Transportation Group, you’ll inspect assigned phases of roadway and structure construction on projects while communicating with the contractor and other project stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure conformance with the contract plans and specifications. You’ll observe specific construction activities and operations, inspect installed traffic devices, prepare daily work reports, calculate quantities, perform material testing/sampling, and ship any required field samples to the District Materials Supervisor or MCS&T Division laboratories for materials verifications, as well as ensure that materials delivered to the project are DOH-approved and delivered with the appropriate shipping documents.
