Kimball Physics is a high-tech manufacturer of scientific instruments specializing in high stability electron emitters, precision electrostatic and magnetostatic optics, along with state-of-the-art vacuum chambers and fittings. Position Title: Electronics Assembly Associate
Position Summary: Kimball Physics is currently seeking a full-time Assembly Associate to join our electronics team. This position is responsible for assembling systems and sub-assemblies to precise specifications. The applicant should be highly motivated with an ability to prioritize and work independently once trained.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of intricate components and use of small tools.
- Assembly of components per routers, drawings, and written procedures.
- Alignment of systems to meet specifications. Alignment of assemblies and in-process testing.
- Processing and final testing of assemblies. Preparation of assemblies for shipment with supervision or in conjunction with other Assembly Specialists.
- Performs various types of hand soldering, including surface mount and thru-hole.
- Utilizes strict attention to detail with a focus on quality.
- Self-directed and confident to sufficiently work unsupervised.
- May be required to help in other departments depending on workload.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Experience preferred.
