Working as part of a team of science teachers, the successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues on the development and implementation of curriculum initiatives and review of instruction and student learning. Qualified applicants should be familiar with the Massachusetts Science Technology & Engineering Frameworks, hold Massachusetts licensure, and have experience instructing high school physics utilizing research-based pedagogical strategies to teach and engage diverse groups of students in grades 9-12.
The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing freshman introductory physics, a MCAS assessed curriculum, as well as some technology/engineering electives. Instruction will center around engaging students in relevant and rigorous questions, problems, and challenges that introduce the science practices to promote a deeper understanding of content.
