Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Special Education typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.     Position Description

    Epic Special Education Staffing is partnering with an exceptional school district who is looking for a contract School Orientation and Mobility Specialist for the 2023-2024 school year.

    • Location: Tewksbury, MA
    • Duration: Immediately - June 30, 2024 (potential to 2024-2025 SY); Summer: July 8, 2024 - August 8, 2024
    • Onsite or Virtual: Hybrid
    • Full or Part Time: Part Time
    • Schedule: 14 hours/week
    • Grade/Age Levels: Pre-K to 12th-Grade
    • Caseload description: 10-15 students

    Qualifications

    The minimum qualifications for a School Orientation and Mobility Specialist:

    • 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a School Orientation and Mobility Specialist within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum)
    • Valid School Orientation and Mobility Specialist credential/license or in process in the state of practice
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be asked for proof upon hire. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
