Program Supervisor coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Responsible for aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. Being a Program Supervisor develops new business and expands product line. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules and develops solutions to program problems. Additionally, Program Supervisor recommends changes to improve process efficiency and alleviate process inaccuracy and duplication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Program Supervisor contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     As a Program Supervisor, you will manage the daily operations of a program and supervise direct service and support team members; coordinate service delivery so that client needs, program goals and contract objectives are effectively met. Overall, the Program Supervisor contributes to the CHS high performance culture by exhibiting our values and providing quality results that position CHS as the leader in delivering proactive behavioral health, case management, community and early childhood solutions for children and families.

    Primary Job Functions

    1.  Supervise program team members including regular individual and group team members meetings and case consultation; oversee proper client to team members’ ratio.

    • Approve admission of clients to program; assign cases to program team members and oversee service delivery.
    • Provide support with in-crisis or problem cases; provide on-going assistance to program team members in coordinating services for clients.
    • Review and monitor case files for both internal and external quality assurance standards.
    • Oversee services provided comply with contractual requirements.
    • Liaison to community agencies such as Dept. of Children and Families, Department of Juvenile Justice, etc. and attends closure or conference staffing.
    • Oversee program team members completes all documentation and reports in a professional and timely manner.
    • Assist in grant writing, contract negotiating or re-accreditation preparation.
    • Maintain and generate necessary reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
    • Provide direct casework in the absence of program team members.
    • Provide BHOS services including group counseling, individual counseling, social skills training and documentation.
    • Participate in treatment team meetings.
    • In BHOS programs:
    • Oversee BHOS services are provided as part of the facility's daily programming.
    • Participate in four hours per month of supervision by a licensed clinician.
    • Maintain appropriate documentation of all BHOS services.

    2.  Recruit, develop and lead a team capable of supporting CHS performance and growth strategies (complying with COA Standard T3, when appropriate), while fostering an engaging, positive work environment.

    • Recruit, supervise and support team members and foster their professional development, including the transfer of knowledge obtained through training.
    • Establish annual team goals and objectives; track and report results.
    • Coach, support and evaluate team member performance, taking corrective action if needed.
    • Deliver timely communication through regular management and team meetings.
    • Comply and confirm compliance with CHS code of conduct, policies, practices and other legal obligations.
    • Implementing policies and practices designed to prevent, recognize and respond to work-related stress.
    • Participate in succession planning to build the bench strength necessary for future talent needs.
    • Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job-related issues and trends.
    • Participate actively in departmental meetings, training and education, as well as the quality process.
    • Pick up projects on the fly; perform other duties as assigned from time to time
    • Demonstrate the CHS Common Bond values in the performance of all job duties.

     

    Job Qualifications

    Education, Licenses & Certifications:

    • All degrees must be from an accredited university.
    • Medicaid Related Programs:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a comparable human service field, required.
    • Targeted Case Management Programs:
    • Bachelor’s degree in any field,
    • Or
    • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Special Education, Health Education, or a human services related field
    • All Other Programs:
    • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a comparable human service field, required.
    • Master’s degree in Social Work or a comparable human service field, preferred.

    Experience:

    • Medicaid Related Programs:
    • With a Bachelor’s degree, five years experience working with children and families, preferably in a Medicaid related setting, required.
    • With a Master’s degree, three years experience working with children and families, preferably in a Medicaid related setting, required.
    • Targeted Case Management Programs:
    • With a Bachelor’s degree, five years of full time or equivalent case management experience serving the target population, required.
    • With a Master’s degree, three years of full time or equivalent professional experience serving the target population, required.
    • Successful completion of AHCA-approved mental health targeted case management training within three months of initially providing Medicaid services, required.
    • Must successfully complete the Certified Case Manager Certification as specified, required
    • All Other Programs:
    • Three years experience working with children and families, preferably in the type of program that the Program Supervisor will be overseeing, required.
    • Supervisory experience, preferred.
    • Program management experience, preferred.
