Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Plan, assign, coordinate and review the work of quality assurance inspectors and ensure adherence to established company policies and procedures or other guidelines as they relate to assigned area.
- Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering team to understand and deploy inspection points and criteria, providing clarification to the process and users to streamline processes effectiveness and maximize results.
- Provide oversight and guidance for all site personnel using the material review and nonconformance system.
- Collaborate in Corrective Action Board meetings; partake in or lead internal audits; communicate a wide variety of information to internal and external customer, such as status, failure analysis results.
- Partner closely with internal operations management and the various customers to identify, plan, and collaborate customer inspections.
- Coordinate, schedule and facilitate as applicable Lean/Six Sigma activities for own work area as well as for other areas to enhance cross-functional problems solving; utilize Company tool champions as appropriate for more significant lean events.
- Develop, track and report visual metrics, including KPI's for area; react to metrics by identifying and solving problems, making improvements and advancing process control.
- Ensure proper management of Inspection Tooling.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 3 years' experience in technical role in operations
- A minimum of 2 years in a direct people leadership role in operations or quality
- IPC-610 & J-STD-001
- This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred:
- Preferred degrees include Engineering, Quality or other Technical Field
- ASQ Certification in Management, Engineering, Auditing, etc.
- Experience working with RF/Microwave Components & Multi-Function Modules
- Solid understanding of AS9100D or industry equivalent
- Demonstrate effective communications skills such as active listening; understanding and the ability to clarify requirements identified in blueprints, specs and process documents; communicate across organizational levels; ability to communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities
- Intermediate mathematical skills, including geometry and GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing); review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and determine priorities; ability to collect, analyze and summarize information to a general understanding; ability to think abstractly and separate complex ideas into simple elements
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality; work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information
