Quality Assurance Specialist jobs in Pasadena, TX

This position will play a vital role in maintaining ISO 9001: 2015 certification and ensuring adherence to quality standards in operations.   Applicants should be highly driven, highly organized, possess leadership skills, and work well within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position requires the candidate to have the ability to work within the US without sponsorship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in overseeing the implementation and maintenance of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Manage documentation related to ISO 9001 processes and operations, including procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
• Assist in conducting Internal Audits to assess compliance with ISO 9001 standards and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with teams to establish and maintain quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle, including equipment inspection, materials testing, and process validation.
• Assist in investigating and resolving non-conformances in operations, documenting root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Assist in evaluating suppliers and subcontractors to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements, conducting supplier audits and monitoring performance.
• Provide training on ISO 9001 principles, quality management systems, and best practices to enhance employee competence and awareness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization, leveraging quality data and feedback to optimize processes and enhance overall performance.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental, integrating HSE principles into quality management practices. 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma
• 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, with focus on ISO certifications and Oil & Gas operations

PREFERED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Proficiency in ISO standards and quality management principles
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-pace environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift and carry 15 pounds independently while walking on uneven surfaces
• Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.
• Moves throughout the building to access files.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc. during various weather conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather)
