Quality Management Director - Healthcare leads and directs all quality management activities for the hospital including patient care and relations, JHACO compliance, risk management and safety, performance improvement, and infection control. Develops strategic plans and policies for improved quality throughout the hospital and works with top management to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies. Being a Quality Management Director - Healthcare typically requires a bachelor's degree in the field or a related area and certification as a registered nurse. Typically reports to top management. The Quality Management Director - Healthcare manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Promotes performance improvement staff education and development. The director is responsible for implementation of all aspects of the Quality Management Program including identification of opportunities to improve patient care, planning and facilitating interventions, evaluation and sustaining of success, teaching performance improvement methods, strategies, and leadership in QAPI and Survey readiness. You will also take on the role of the company's compliance officer.
Job Priorities:Survey Preparation throughout the entire organization
Quality Measures - Develop and implement plans to ensure that facilities have pathways to reach their quality measure goals
Consistent Auditing - you will be responsible for remote audits and facility audits Survey Management/Education Responsible to drive strategies that improve the overall organization outcomes.
Ensure facilities are consistently in compliance
You will be expected to travel approximately 70% of the time for this position. Facilities are located in the Carolinas, Montana, Iowa and Florida.
Qualifications/Education:
Minimum 10 Years' experience in Skilled Nursing / Long Term Care Previous experience in a nursing and/or administration leadership role
Knowledge of State and Federal regulations. RN Preferred Flexible/Adaptable to a changing healthcare environment
Leader with ability to focus and develop teams
Ability to develop metrics and exceed goals with deliberate, quantifiable plans
