Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) jobs in Montana
Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II administers radiation therapy by exposing specific areas of the patient's body to prescribed doses of radiation. Maintains patient charts, noting such information as the area treated, the radiation dosage, equipment control settings, the patient's reactions, and the total amount of radiation received to date. Being a Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II consults with radiation oncologists and other clinical staff as needed. May require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II typically requires graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program, certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and a state license to practice. Typically reports to a physician or manager. The Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT) II work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at a local hospital. Our facility is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and we are seeking an individual who shares this commitment to excellence.
As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures in the areas of CT, and X-Ray. You will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to produce and interpret images used for the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate CT, and X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Maintain equipment and supplies in good working order, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements.
- Educate patients and family members on the procedures and equipment used during the exam.
- Maintain patient records and assist in the interpretation of radiology examinations.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality imaging.
- Participate in ongoing training and education opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT)
- Current Montana State Radiology Technologist license
- Experience in CT, and X-ray imaging procedures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
