Radio Frequency Engineer develops products and technologies related to wireless telecommunications by applying RF and mixed signal capabilities. Responsibilities may include RF front-end design, radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis and filter design, frequency coordination, analog-to-digital converters, cell site equipment layout, and circuit design. Being a Radio Frequency Engineer develops and executes product testing and integration plans for new or updated products. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Radio Frequency Engineer typically reports to supervisor or manager. The Radio Frequency Engineer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Trains end-user on communication equipment operation, use and care. Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains facility structured wiring. Assists with tower installation, grounding and maintenance. Ensures assigned vehicle and shop are clean, organized and all required equipment, tools, and parts are readily available. Maintains accurate and detailed records of all work performed and training provided. Performs other related duties as assigned.A high school diploma and two and one-half (2.5) years of related work experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence.
