Recreation Coordinator (Intramurals) plans and directs the student, faculty, and staff recreation program including intramural and club sports. May be responsible for managing the maintenance of some facilities. Being a Recreation Coordinator (Intramurals) requires a bachelor's degree in recreation or related area. Performs responsible recreation work in accordance with the program standards assisting direct participant contact employees by providing one to one or small group support and assistance to participants with disabilities registered in Therapeutic Recreation Services (TRS) programs and activities and youth participants of ACE Summer Camp. Assists instructors or leaders in carrying out planned activities, under the supervision of the Recreation Programmers. Performs responsible childcare and recreation work in accordance with the program standards for children at an assigned location. Assists with planning and participating in organized childcare and recreational activities with children ages five (5) through twenty-one (21) who have developmental disabilities. Staff follows pre-determined program guidelines and report on client progress and goals to empower clients to participate as independently as possible. Performs other duties as assigned
