Rehabilitation Services Manager plans and implements the overall rehabilitation functions policies, procedures, and services. Ensures efficient and effective operations for physical therapy, sports medicine, occupational therapy and speech departments. Being a Rehabilitation Services Manager identifies services through program planning and facilitates program development. May require an advanced degree. Additionally, Rehabilitation Services Manager typically reports to a director. The Rehabilitation Services Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Rehabilitation Services Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Pathways to Partnerships Grant Manager

    This time-limited position will be responsible for the management of a 5-year grant awarded to the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation through September 2028. The “Pathways to Partnerships” grant’s goals include strengthening of interagency collaboration and services for children and youth ages 10-24 with disabilities leading to positive post-secondary outcomes in education, employment and independent living.

    Primary responsibilities include:  

    • Develops, coordinates, and administers grants and contracts in order to manage resources within fiscal constraints and client service needs
    • Reviews, monitors, and evaluates delivery of services and budget expenditures and projections in order to ensure established grant goals, objectives, and standards are attained.
    • Provides supervision to the  grant’s Rehabilitation Counselor I to ensure grant activities are being carried out appropriately
    • Consults and confers with  state and federal officials, and technical assistance and evaluation partners  in order to ensure service resource availability.
    • Drafts, reviews and submits fiscal and programmatic reports to meet grant requirements.

       

    Skills or knowledge required:

    • Knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations applicable to and administered by the agency.
    • Knowledge of Bureau policies, goals, and objectives.
    • Knowledge of  best practices in serving youth with disabilities
    • Knowledge of employment resources and practices.
    • Knowledge of training needs and resources.
    • Knowledge of public administration.
    • Ability to supervise subordinate personnel.
    • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
    • Ability to oversee, coordinate, and appraise the work of subordinate staff.
    • Ability to manage financial resources.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
    • Ability to interpret and explain complex information.
    • Ability to use applicable computer programs.

     

    Minimum qualifications:

    A ten (10) year combination of education, training, and/or experience in social work and/or rehabilitation including at least one (1) year experience in an administrative capacity.
