Description

Manages staff during scheduled shift. Uses current technology to monitor and enforce compliance of City parking ordinances and to process cash and credit transactions. Provides assistance and support to Management. Serves as the main point of contact for staff. Advocates good will for the City of Virginia Beach by providing excellent customer service to City of Virginia Beach residents and guests.  Shows a commitment to quality service by using knowledge of parking ordinances, parking options and rates, and Oceanfront events and amenities to assist guests and residents.  Creates a positive image of the City of Virginia Beach by maintaining a professional, empathetic, and composed demeanor when interacting with guests and residents.

Must have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Strong organizational skills
• Leadership skills
• Experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint applications
• Understands Google applications
• Must be familiar with current technology
• Excellent time management skills
• Accounting/bookkeeping
• Problem solving skills
• Must be flexible with schedule
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends
• Must be able to work hours in excess of normally scheduled hours
• Capable of pushing/pulling gates
• Must be able to lift/move signs weighing up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to sit/stand/walk for extended periods
• Must be able to work in in all weather conditions
• Must have a valid driver's license
