What You’ll Do:

You will be responsible for performing Dietary evaluations for patients on-site and within the Correctional Community.

You will be utilizing your assessment skills, technical skills, collaborative skills, documentation skills, and leadership qualities daily.

You will perform Hemodialysis treatments on-site and within the Correctional Community.

You will be supported by a great team of nurses and nurse managers while providing safe, efficient care of the highest quality to our vulnerable patient population.

This dialysis unit is in:

• La Grange, Kentucky within Kentucky State Reformatory

This dialysis unit operates:

• Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 4:30am-5:00pm

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or similar area required.
• Registered Dietitian in the state of Kentucky with two years clinical experience.
• Current CPR Certification (or within three months of hire).
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand and satisfactorily communicate in English.
• Computer proficiency.
• One year of Hemodialysis RN experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional assessment, counseling, and instruction to patients to ensure optimal nutritional status.
• Develop and provide educational materials for patients and staff.
• Follow standards of practices with appropriate documentation as required by regulations.
• Participate in ESRD patient review including the formulation of the long-term care plans.
• Act as a resource to the dialysis staff and for patients' nutritional questions or problems.
