Research and Development Assistant Details:

• Direct Hire position
• $23.00 /hour
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and track sample specification sheets
• Assist in establishing product specifications
• Track and organize material samples used for R&D
• Organize retention samples
• Oversee inventory control for materials used in the R&D process
• Sending samples to third-party labs for testing
• Communicate with third-party labs regarding samples and test results
• Track test results pertaining to R&D and finished product testing
• Create and format master formulas templates for new formulas received Research all claims on formula ingredients
• Assist with new packaging configuration testing in a vacuum chamber
• Conduct group sensory analysis studies and compile results

Research and Development Assistant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, 1-3 years experience, or the equivalent in schooling experience preferred
• Knowledge of or experience working in a food processing or manufacturing environment helpful
• Fundamental knowledge or experience working with herbal ingredients and/or liquid formulations
• MS Office proficiency – particularly Excel and Word, instrumentation software
• Strong verbal and documented communication skills a must
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and data documentation
• Flexibility in work; ability to display a degree of flexibility and adapt effectively to change, with the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at one time
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity at a high level
• Follow QA/QC compliance procedures and protocol
• Familiarity with good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and regulations for dietary supplements

• Pre-employment drug screen (Excluding THC) is required as a condition of employment
