Out-of-School Time Coordinator

  • The Out-of-School Time (OST) Coordinator is responsible for providing support to youth serving OST Collaborative partners across Spartanburg County. Under the direction of the Director of Educational Engagement & Partnerships, this role is responsible for ensuring that all OST Collaborative partners have access to the necessary resources to successfully deliver services to youth. This role also has responsibilities associated with the tracking of key data metrics that guide the work of the OST Collaborative. The OST Coordinator works to build stronger afterschool and summer partnerships with Spartanburg County schools, districts, and community-based partners.

    Essential DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

    OST Collaborative Support

    • Coordinate and oversee after-school collaborative partnerships.
    • Support the recruitment and onboarding of new OST partners.
    • Coordinate training and capacity building activities.
    • Lead and coordinate OST collaborative monthly meetings.
    • Coordinate OST scholarship opportunities for youth in grades 6 12.

    OST Data Tracking

    • Provide data collection and reporting from capacity building opportunities, program assessments, youth scholarship recipients, and youth serving providers grant recipients.
    • Coordinate with Connect Spartanburg and the CI Wardlaw Institute to support funded partners in receiving continuous improvement outcomes.
    • Coordinate site-based school/OST partnerships.
    • Use industry-standard assessment tools to assess quality of programs.

    Afterschool and Summer Partnership Development

    • Organize social media content and newsletters.

    Education and Skills Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
    • 1-3 years of experience working in a community role in a paid or volunteer capacity.
    • Ability to form relationships with providers and community members.
    • Experience managing collaboratives is preferred.
    • Time-management and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure, manage and promote multiple projects, and meet deadlines independently and with a team.
    • Ability to work independently, both in the office and remotely as needed.
    • Willingness to work as a team player and fulfill any other duties as needed.
    • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Interest and ability to work as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment.
