Researcher - Academic carries out research/development activities. Makes detailed observations, analyzes data, and interprets results. Being a Researcher - Academic compiles results and prepares technical reports and documentation of outcomes. Develops research or policy papers, studies, and reports by conducting research in specific areas. Additionally, Researcher - Academic requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Researcher - Academic works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Work is closely managed. Duties:
- Provide one-on-one and/or small group tutoring sessions to students in kindergarten through fifth grade in any subject area
- Assist students with homework assignments and teach them how to use notes to complete assignments
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to employer
- Incorporate interactive and engaging activities to enhance student learning
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education needs
Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education, content area, or a related field
- Experience working with children, particularly in a tutoring or classroom setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students of all ages
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies is a plus
