Job DescriptionJob DescriptionBlenheim Homes , a professional, well-established and respected local leader in residential construction for nearly 40 years, is seeking a full-time Residential Construction Supervisor.
This person will schedule and manage sub-contractors to ensure that each home is completed on time and with the highest level of quality.
This position has responsibility for the on-site, day-to-day supervision of residential new construction. This person must take appropriate action to solve any and all problems that would delay home completion dates or result in poor quality and / or a dissatisfied homeowner.
This person reports directly to the Project Manager.Essential Functions & Responsibilities : Manage the construction of assigned homesWalk all units daily to monitor activities and assist in future planningDirect and evaluate the site, subcontractors, and other staff membersEnforce project safety and security at all timesSchedule subcontractors to ensure timely completionPerform quality controlCommunicate with Project Manager and Sales ConsultantsEnsure that subcontractors are fulfilling their entire scope of workCoordinate required inspectionsIdentify problems during construction and communicate them to the Project ManagerEnsure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by the construction teamEnsure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized mannerCreate punch lists and ensure all items are addressedComplete all punch-list items identified through walkthroughs with homebuyersDrive cost-effective project management techniques and strategiesEstablish and maintain a positive working relationship with all stakeholdersEnhance the image and reputation of the CompanyEstablishes the job requirements and recommends or takes action to solve any and all problems that will delay the completion dates or would result in poor quality homesMinimize rework;
deal with them promptly and satisfactory when they do occurQualifications : 3 years of verifiable experience as a Field Superintendent in residential construction or a related field may be substituted with extensive field / construction experience (10-20 years)Associates or Bachelor’s Degree is favorable for this position, either in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering.
