ReSOURCE is looking for a YouthBuild Transition Coordinator to creatively lead transition programming for our YouthBuild program in Barre, Vermont. What the YouthBuild Transition Coordinator Does
The Transition Coordinator will take the lead on establishing job shadow opportunities, internships, On the Job Training opportunities and employment connections within the business community and local agencies, as well as connecting youth with Post Secondary Education opportunities. Working with youth throughout their enrollment, the Transition Coordinator will conduct intakes, facilitate goal setting and evaluation, and help arrange supportive services for the purposes of identifying career goals and removing barriers to career success.
Longer term, this position ensures young people in Vermont find outcomes that help them feel productive and be engaged with lifelong learning.
Work Schedule & Environment
Hours – 20 hour per week (2 10 hour shifts per week)
Location – YouthBuild Barre, Granite Street, Barre
Hybrid schedule is possible with some business outreach development work completed remotely. The majority of the work will be done onsite with students.
Compensation – wage range is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
This position is supervised by our YouthBuild Program Manager who is passionate about youth development and believes that students should be both valued and challenged. He believes in creating flexible and rigorous pathways to learning and achievement. He is highly respected by our school partners.

Job Requirements
The YouthBuild Transition Coordinator must have experience helping young people find success, a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred. What's most important is a strong commitment to cultivating a safe, respectful, and collaborative learning environment for young adults ages 16-24. Since our Transition Coordinator will occasionally transport students, a valid driver’s license with a clean record is preferred.
They must be naturally good at connecting with young people, developing leadership in others, and must naturally be creative when employment or education opportunities.
They'll learn about the YouthBuild USA model and alternative pathways to high school graduation in Vermont and will be part of 2 years of professional training in diversity, equity and inclusion at ReSOURCE.
