    YOUR IMPACT

     

    The Director of In Restaurant Training will be responsible for developing the strategic vision and deployment of relevant, role-based content and training across company-owned and franchised restaurants. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the high standards of guest experience, operational excellence, and team member performance that Wingstop is known for.

     

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

     In this role, you will:

    • Lead the creation of role-based, blended learning solutions for company-owned and franchised restaurants. Content to include eLearning, video, job aids, micro learning, manuals, and all in restaurant training. Lead the strategy to build restaurant talent to the next level
    • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with US and International Operations and HR to develop relevant, engaging content for above-restaurant leadership and team members
    • Deploy Management Curriculum program for company-owned and franchised locations; support company strategic initiatives and roll-outs through training development and implementation
    • Lead the Training and Support teams which train new Brand Partners (classroom and restaurant based) and New Restaurant Opening support teams
    • Lead the creation of content to support International Brand Partners; leverage best practices across US and International
    • Design comprehensive training programs for all restaurant roles, including front-of-house, back-of-house, and managerial positions.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and effective training materials, resources, and modules.
    • Ensure alignment of training programs with Wingstop's brand values, service standards, and operational procedures.
    • Collaborate with restaurant leaders and brand partners to address performance gaps and provide tailored training solutions.
    • Provide excellent customer service to regional field staff, brand partners and team members and training team.
    • Craft career pathing plans for each level of restaurant team members
    • Evaluate and track effectiveness of training offerings, through time to competency, retention, and restaurant performance. 
    • Forms strong working relationships within team and brand partner community. 
    • Leads weekly meetings with direct reports and shares information as needed to ensure clear communication and efficient performance. 
    • Leads guides and motivates team members to exceed customer expectations and provide excellent service. 
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning, problem solving, professional development, and team member engagement within the training team.
    • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in training and development.
    • Introduce innovative training methods and technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of training programs.
    • Identify performance and skills gaps and put a plan in place to address gaps. 
    • Supports the leadership team with strategic training initiatives and special projects on as needed basis.

    SMART: You possess the ability to lead strategic vision of LMS Experience optimizing an LMS to drive adoption and usage rate. Experience with multiple LMS systems preferred, As well as the ability to deploy role-based, blended learning solutions (eLearning – Articulate experience preferred, video) Experience with establishing and maintaining training centers.

     

    SERVICE-MINDED: You have a genuine desire to serve the customer as well as ability to facilitate strategic workshops or lead training session.

     

    ENTREPRENEURIAL: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and direct reports – focus on career development for team members. Franchising experience: multi-unit quick service/fast casual restaurant, retail experience preferred; minimum 5 years’ experience in restaurant and or hospitality industry.

     

    AUTHENTIC: Desire to Influence and empower at all levels of the organization that drives results and create a culture consistent with the Wingstop Way.

     

    FUN: Ability to form strong working relationships with Wingstop team members, supplier partners and the brand partner community.
