POSITION SUMMARY
The Ironworker is responsible for assembling, erecting, connecting, and welding steel projects.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Promote a strong quality culture throughout the company maintaining Cooper Steel’s core priorities: Safety, Quality, Production
- Operate equipment / machinery to perform job duties
- Inspect tools and equipment daily before use and maintain in good working order
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
3-5 Years’ Experience Required
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
OSHA 10 preferred
Ariel Lift Certification required
Valid Driver’s License required

Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals; good judgment; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to work effectively with others. While performing certain duties of the job, the employee is required to see, talk, hear, use fingers/hands, handle/feel, reach with arms/hands. Lifting is required up to 75 lbs. Flexibility in hours worked and willing to work overtime is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position performs work regularly om-site at the construction work site. Which includes a variety of working conditions. These include the following conditions: noise level fluctuations from moderate to high, use of personal protective equipment, machine/equipment use, weather conditions, etc. Position involves everyday risks or exposure to elements that require safety precautions. Position will be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
