Prepares resolutions and other legal forms related to land acquisitions. Additionally, Right of Way Agent may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Right of Way Agent contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The City of Clinton Department of Public Works is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Right of Way Assistant Division Manager. Under limited supervision, assists the Right of Way Division Supervisor in overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of technicians engaged in the maintenance and repair ROW for power, water and sewer as well as grass cutting. Ensures proper and safe operations, compliance with established work and safety procedures, all applicable regulations, and the efficient use of personnel and city resources. Maintains accurate employee and work related records as required. Reports to the Division Manager. Other duties as required. This is a non-exempt working supervisory role. Requirements: Requirements include, but are not limited to: (1) Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED. (2) Applicant must have and maintain (or be able to possess and maintain within six months of appointment) a valid (min) Class B DOT/CDL driver?s license and a good driving record. (3) Physical requirements include the ability to operate various vehicles, heavy equipment, various small and power hand tools, etc., and occasional heavy lifting. (4) Requires strong customer service, oral/written communication skills, and supervisory leadership. (5) Work is predominately outside in a variety of climatological conditions year-round. (6) Requires a working knowledge of grounds keeping, road/street maintenance, and personnel management procedures.
