Positions Summary of the Food Service Director:
The primary purpose of the Food service Director is to develop and maintain dietary service objectives, standards, policy and procedure manuals, and coordinates dietary services with other resident services.
You are also responsible for the planning, budgeting, and development of the department; as well as purchasing food and supplies, means, and providing a sanitary environment.
In addition, you are responsible for carrying out and delegating assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulation and established facility policies and procedures.
