Safety Director directs, develops, and oversees the general health and safety policies and procedures of the organization. Ensures the workplace is in compliance with OSHA and other state, local, or industry specific regulations and that periodic safety audits are conducted. Being a Safety Director provides programs that ensure a safe workplace including safety orientations, skill training, emergency preparedness, proper job instruction, hazardous material disposal procedures, and the use of protective equipment. Develops a systemic process to collect data and analyze the causes of accidents and generate required reporting. Additionally, Safety Director implements initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents, occupational illnesses, and exposure to long-term health hazards. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Safety Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Safety Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     REQUIREMENTS: Red Cross CPR Instructor Certification, American Heart Association, and ASHI Instructors are encouraged to apply.

    Candidates will need to have a clean background, a current instructor license, a willingness to work with the public, and the ability to connect with our clients to deliver outstanding class experiences.

    **You MUST own your own Equipment, Manikins, AED's, and supplies to teach the courses and work for Swift Safety Institute**

    This is an independent contractor 1099 position. It will be on an as needed basis, with the potential to work as much as you want based on availability and class need. Pay is a flat rate per contract and is very competitive.

    We have a dedicated Training Department that is able to help you grow as an instructor and add more disciplines to your resume! We seek to guide and retain the best instructors in the industry.
