Responsibilities also include documenting safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures and recommending corrective procedures, and maintaining safety equipment supply and availability. Being a Safety Technician may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. We are looking for a Fire Alarm Technician or Inspector to join our experienced team in the North Platte area.

    Job Responsibilities

    As a Fire Alarm Technician / Inspector, you will be responsible for providing service, testing, and installation of fire alarm systems and devices. You will be performing routine Fire Alarm system troubleshooting and repairs, minor Fire Alarm system changes and modifications, and Testing and Inspecting Fire Alarm systems.

    Additional responsibilities of the Fire Alarm Technician include:

    • Complete activities directly related to fire alarm service and installation
    • Complete documentation associated with fire alarm services provided
    • Customer service, coordination, and communication
    • Technical fire protection system project and administrative support
    • Ability to work independently or supervise others as required
    • Preparing work schedules, plans, and carrying out assigned duties

    Job Requirements

    Special consideration would go to candidates that possess:

    • NICET Certification (Fire Alarm Level 2 preferred)
    • Proficiency with computer skills, MS Excel, Email
    • Strong customer service skills and communications
    • Familiarity with NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) and local codes
