Sales Representative - Licensed conducts business development and sales activities with existing consumer banking customers and new prospects to increase sales of financial products and expand the customer base. Develops leads with customer profile development, telemarketing, and promotional events. Being a Sales Representative - Licensed maintains a broad understanding and detailed knowledge of the current financial product offerings. Assesses customer needs, explains each product's characteristics and benefits, and makes recommendations that align with the customer's financial objectives. Additionally, Sales Representative - Licensed may require a bachelor's degree. Completion of the FINRA Series 6 Investment Company Products/Variable Contract Limited Representative qualification exam and any required state licensing is required. Also requires completion of the FINRA Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination and any state licensing. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Sales Representative - Licensed work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Summary of PositionThe Sales Representative is responsible for providing premier customer service to all current and potential customers from the point of initial contact through delivery of the product. It is also the responsibility of the Sales Representative to achieve sales and profit goals established by the management team at PASU.Responsibilities and DutiesAs a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Sales Representative. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.
- Increase sales and provide support for current customer base as assigned.
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and sales contracts.
- Promptly respond to Request for Quotes for current and potential customers. Overall goal is no later than 24 hours per RFQ.
- Coordinate workflow with company staff to achieve closing of sales quotes.
- Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals set by Sales Manager, i.e. dollars booked and calls per day.
- Proactively review open orders and advise customers of delivery status changes.
- Provide technical assistance and solutions for customer returns.
- Manage account services through follow-up and quality checks.
- Develop and maintain existing product knowledge and sales materials.
- Formulate analysis of sales data to assist in establishing specific account pricing.
- Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with other Sales Representatives, Regional Sales Representatives, management, and other co-workers.
- Prepare and present various sales status reports to the General Manager weekly that includes activity, follow-up, closing, and adherence to targets.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and codes of business ethics
Required Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience in sales
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem solving skills, and time management skills
- Marketing experience, ensuring ability to recognize opportunities
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations customers/suppliers
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated
- Creative; forward-thinker
