Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to join our team. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our students. You will provide medical care, administer medications, and promote a safe and healthy environment within the school setting.

Duties:
- Assess and triage students who are ill or injured
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor students with chronic health conditions and develop individualized healthcare plans
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to address health concerns and develop appropriate care plans
- Maintain accurate medical records for each student
- Educate students on health-related topics such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Follow established protocols and standards for infection control
- Assist with the implementation of health screenings and immunization programs

-Work with administration to provide training on topics such as diabetes, seizures, CPR, First Aid, medication administration etc.

Requirements:
- Valid nursing license in the state of Oklahoma
- Experience working with pediatric patients preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat common illnesses and injuries
- Familiarity with ventilators, tube feeding, and other medical equipment
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
