POSITION TITLE: Assistant to the Superintendent

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month employment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative
1. Plan and schedule meetings and appointments on behalf of the Superintendent and
teams.
2. Serve as mediator to support resolutions within the school community.
3. Register team members for professional development.
4. Plan and schedule meetings and appointments.
5. Organize and maintain files and records.
6. Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations.
7. Manage projects and conduct research.
8. Make travel and guest arrangements.
9. Make arrangements and support hospitality for central office level and campus events.
10. Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their
significance and plan their distribution.
11. Arrange conference calls.
12. Order school supplies and office supplies.
13. Run errands as needed.
14. Support needs and ensure coverage for all administrative desks.
15. Provide administrative support to Leadership Team members as needed.
16. Work with the Superintendent to create meeting agendas and take meeting notes for
various leadership meetings.
17. Provides guidance to Administrative Assistants team
Board of Trustees
1. Prepare and distribute board meeting materials.
2. Collaborate with the Director of Communications and Marketing on communicating board
meeting dates and postings.
3. Order and purchase board materials.
4. Arrange and set-up board meeting amenities.
5. Develop Board Meeting Agenda and meeting presentations.
6. Attend Board meetings and record board minutes for public posting.
7. Collaborate with Leadership and Board meeting presenters to collect and prepare materials
for the monthly board meeting.
8. Ensure Meeting materials and minutes are posted monthlyu in accordance to the statutes.
Substitutes
1. Recruit, lead hiring, train and supervise substitute teachers.
2. Conduct substitute onboarding meetings throughout the year.
3. Manage and maintain the Substitute system.
4. Ensure completion and maintenance of documentation regarding substitutes.
5. Coordinate, communicate, and support needs to facilitate high quality professional
development.
