The School District of La Crosse is accepting applications for an Associate Superintendent of Instruction at Hogan Administrative Center beginning in the 2024-2025 school year with a start date of July 1, 2024.
The Associate Superintendent of Instruction shall, as much as possible, be knowledgeable of all facets and issues in the district, and under the guidance of the Superintendent, is responsible for all instructional programs in the La Crosse Schools. The Associate Superintendent of Instruction supervises and coordinates curriculum, student services, special education, federal programs, district information/technology, career and technical education, grants, research, charter schools, summer school, and community services.

Salary: Set annually by the Board of Education/Superintendent
Length of Contract: 12/24 months

POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Superintendent of Schools
Coordinates with: Superintendent, Director of Human Resources, and Executive Director of Business Services
Supervises: Instructional Resource Team Directors, Executive Assistant, Supervisor of Information Technology
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Required experience and training: Master’s Degree, Wisconsin District Administrator’s License or Director of Instruction License – both preferred.
B. Special requirements of the position: Ability to organize; thorough knowledge of administration of public education, particularly in instructional program development and assessment, school improvement, and supervision of instruction; ability to provide leadership to administrators and teachers; ability to maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with superiors, peers, and subordinates; ability to supervise the work of others and to make suggestions for improvement; skill in oral and written communication.
C. Desired experience and training: Educational credits beyond the Master’s Degree; administrative experience, preferably in curriculum and instruction.
D. Experience as a building principal and district level leadership preferred.
