Scientist - Biotech jobs in Galveston, TX
Scientist - Biotech develop and conduct basic and applied research projects. Utilize advanced technologies to study biological, molecular and chemical processes. Being a Scientist - Biotech synthesize and analyze DNA, proteins and other molecules to develop new drugs, medical protocols, and products. Prepare technical papers and reports on findings. Additionally, Scientist - Biotech requires a PhD in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Scientist - Biotech typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Conducts innovative scientific investigation by developing theories and devising scientific methods and procedures to apply scientific principles, theories and research in projects related to the mission of UTMB. Committed to the discovery of new innovative biomedical and health services knowledge leading to increasingly effective and accessible health care. Evaluates, selects, and applies standard scientific techniques and procedures while using judgment when necessary to adapt standard methods and techniques.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph. D, M.D, D.O., or D.V.M in related field and no experience required.
