Security Director implements overall security strategy, policies, and standards to ensure the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Conducts regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any security vulnerabilities or gaps. Being a Security Director implements staff training and operational plans for crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Manages and maintains systems, alarms, and other physical security measures. Additionally, Security Director delivers education programs and communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is adequately informed and equipped to manage potential security issues. Participates in local, state, provincial, or federal working or advisory groups to keep abreast with all security-related information, directives, and events. Leads and directs significant investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials or agencies. Possess a broad knowledge of law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, security, or related discipline. Typically reports to senior management. The Security Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Security Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. For those of you who remember the 'good old days' of security - No hassles / No high stress / No complicated computer work / No high-tech equipment to fight with / No having to be the receptionist, telephone operator, mail delivery person, person who has to screen everyone as they enter the building - all at once / Ahhh, yes - you did your patrols, checked gate locks, exterior doors, watched for leaks, smoke, fire, unauthorized activity - returning to the security desk after each patrol, and writing your shift report details. All was quiet. All was good.

USENTRA Security Services is now looking for qualified individuals to fill a part time, weekend overnight position at a manufacturing facility in Kenyon, RI.
Duties include: Gatehouse duty / Patrols through building and around perimeter of property - checking locks on gates, exterior doors, etc.
Requirements: CLEAN RECORD / Valid driver's license / Minimum of GED / Basic computer skills / Must be at least 21 years of age or older
Position available: Saturday & Sunday / 11pm - 7am
Pay rate: $15.50 per hour
NOTE: This is an old (historic) factory building. There is a good deal of walking during patrols. You do, however, have time to sit at the gatehouse in between rounds.
