Security Specialist administers, coordinates, and evaluates security programs that support the strategy, policies, and standards established for the physical safety of all visitors, employees, or customers to the organization's facilities and the security of property and assets. Compiles data and analyzes results of audits, inspections, daily logs, and incident reports to assess security vulnerabilities, measure program effectiveness, and identify the need for additional resources. Being a Security Specialist coordinates any required security clearance processing or investigative research for employees or job candidates with applicable entities. Assists with the development of training, education programs, and communications on security policies and topics to ensure staff is prepared for potential security issues, crisis response, disaster recovery, evacuation, workplace violence, and other emergency events. Additionally, Security Specialist monitors communications and stays informed about local, state, provincial, or federal security-related information, directives, and events. May coordinate or assist with investigations and critical event responses in coordination with law enforcement and other officials. Understands law enforcement methods, tactics, and procedures. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Security Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Install, program, maintain and repair servers, switches, virtual machines, and software. Install, program, and maintain Security and Alarm equipment and ensures work is in accordance with relevant codes for Integrated Security Solutions, Inc.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. This position requires periodic drug testing, a valid driver’s license, Background Check, and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Basic Knowledge of: Office Suite 365, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BS or AS degree in Computer Science with 2-3 years’ experience in systems administration. or 3-5 years systems administration experience. CompTIA Sec or other DoD IAT II certification is required within 6 weeks of employment.
SUPERVISION
Position reports directly to the IT Manager and Project Manager(s) for each project.

Communicates effectively in both oral and written communications. Communicates with supervisor, peers, subordinates, and other Company staff, working as part of a team contributing to Company goals.
REASONING ABILITY
Job requires being careful about detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks. Discuss unusual or complex problems encountered to the Project Superintendent for input and/or direction. This job often requires individuals to work in an environment with restricted external access, and the applicant must be able to troubleshoot problems and resolve them with minimal to no external assistance.
