Bids & Tender Specialist

MSC USA - Charleston

Job Summary/ Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a detailed-oriented and analytical Bids & Tender Specialist to join our Charleston, SC office and work closely with Sales, Trade and Contracts divisions. The selected candidate will oversee the entire Bids process for the assigned customers, monitoring progress, deadlines and special requests while following pricing instructions taking into account multiple factors and all business units impacted. The main responsibility is to ensure a thorough, successful and timely proposal delivery.

• Preparation, processing, and maintenance of each bid’s documentation
• Timely and thorough response to each RFQ and RFP
• Work cross-functionally with multiple departments
• Detail planning and analysis to establish specifications for bidding purposes
• Professionally and consultatively meet with clients to support the business development in the proposal process
• Keep accurate, updated, and organized documentation
• Support the Legal department when needed with boiler plates
• Improve processes and increase automatization to increase efficiencies
• Maintain and refine tools and templates as seen fit and/or as assigned for functional area
• Provide excellent customer service, internal and external

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related fields
• Microsoft Office 365 proficiency (SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Automate, etc)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel
• Prior experience with bids and tenders preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent customer relationship management focus
• Ability to Improve processes and increase automatization with focus on errors reduction
