Overview:
Exciting opportunity to join ReGenesis Health Care’s clinical team, located in the Upstate of South Carolina. We are seeking a Triage Nurse who will be responsible for telephone triage for several outpatient offices. This involves assisting callers by providing information, scheduling appointments, refilling medications, setting up transportation, or other means to meet the callers’ medical needs. The candidate is expected to be a strong independent patient advocate who connects the patient to the care team, streamlining patient care and improving experiences and outcomes.

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program.

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina.

Recognized as a Nurse Practitioner by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina.

Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Care facility preferred.

Must maintain a current certification in Basic Life Support techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:

The Triage Nurse will support and protect ReGenesis Health Care’s (RHC) quality reputation by embracing the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Improve patient satisfaction through a sense of ownership by creatively engaging patients, providers, and the community.

Professionally and enthusiastically provides clinical direction to patients and families calling with questions or medical direction regarding both pediatric and adult patients.

Demonstrates clinical competency utilizing evidence-based practices/research in all areas of the nursing process.

Collaborates as appropriate with other departments to ensure efficient processes and facilitate problem solving.

Uses advanced level nursing skills and telephone triage guidelines to assess and prioritize different types of conditions and symptoms including when to refer to 911.

Completely and accurately documents all activity.

Performs follow-up phone calls to all callers within 24-48 hours of original call and documents and/or provides additional referrals and follow-up as needed.

Proactively develops customer service relationships by listening and understanding both internal and external customers. Anticipates and provides solutions to customer needs, giving a high priority to customer satisfaction.

Will be relied upon to answer questions, address concerns, and help with the RHC products or services of any clinical or medical nature.

Ability to confidently schedule patient appointments according to varying provider templates and service types for a comprehensive variety of medical specialties.

Ability to effectively handle a high volume of incoming telephone calls and multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment using a computerized database for information access.
