Sterile Supply Technician (Monday through Friday - 2nd Shift, Full Time)

Compensation: From $16.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.

The Sterile Supply Technician position plays a critical role in ensuring that surgeons receive the safe high quality tissue for a transplant in a timely manner. What you’ll do:

· Perform general lab cleaning, wrapping, sterilization and maintenance activities. Operate steam autoclaves for sterilization of instruments, equipment, and consumable supplies used in the processing of tissue.

· Complete documentation of sterilization activities completely and accurately in electronic records software.

· Assemble, disassemble, inspect, clean, maintain, and monitor equipment and instruments used in sterilization.

• Stock supplies and equipment used in core production.
• Communicate deviations from procedures and abnormalities to responsible parties (Supervisor, Department Management, etc.).

· Safely dispose of hazardous and nonhazardous waste generated during the manufacturing process.

· Perform all assigned duties in compliance with internal policies, processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as well as external regulations as determined by regulatory agencies.

All you need is:

· High School degree, GED or equivalent, college course work in the life sciences or knowledge of CGMP's and/or equivalent combination of education/experience.

· Comfortable working directly with large equipment and cutting tools

· Ability to apply training and knowledge to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.

· Able to work in a team environment.

Bonus points if you’ve got:

· 1 years' experience in one of the following areas and/or equivalent combination of education/experience:

o Tissue Banking, central sterile supply, surgical technician, or pharmaceutical or medical manufacturing experience in a sterile environment preferred.

The physical requirements of this role includes activities that require seeing, listening, touching, and verbalizing needs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus and perform procedures involving hand-eye coordination. Some of the tasks do also require standing and performance of repetitive tasks for long periods of time, lifting of objects up to 50 lbs in weight and may occasionally require stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
