Strategic Planning Director directs and oversees an organization's strategic and long-range goal planning function. Drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals. Being a Strategic Planning Director analyzes emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, the viability of outside business partners, and sources of capital. Establishes and retains relationships with industry analysts and the investment community. Additionally, Strategic Planning Director utilizes data-driven methodologies to analyze business performance metrics and process improvement options effectively. This Strategic Planning Analyst provides leadership and coordination in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the State Health Assessment and State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP). Works closely with leadership in the Public Health and Safety Division, other Divisions throughout DPHHS, and external partners to plan for collective action towards improving population health. Communicates directly with partners and stakeholders to support system improvements and build capacity to accomplish shared goals. Monitors and maintains the PHSD's Strategic Plan and provides technical assistance to support strategic planning that aligns with the SHIP for DPHHS programs and partners.

This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.50 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024.
