Strategic Planning Director directs and oversees an organization's strategic and long-range goal planning function. Drives strategic initiatives and supports the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals. Being a Strategic Planning Director analyzes emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, the viability of outside business partners, and sources of capital. Establishes and retains relationships with industry analysts and the investment community. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead Catholic Health in defining and developing future business system-wide strategies to meet the organization’s long-term goals. Through constant awareness of the dynamic changes in the local and regional markets, as well as interpreting market trends, competitor positions, and data analytics, this role is critical to help identify opportunities that will guide the future direction for Catholic Health. This position facilitates the strategic planning cycle for the organization and will lead the development of future strategic plans for the organization. The ideal candidate will have proven skills in strategic thinking and analysis, facilitating executive level leadership discussions, presentation development, oral and written communication skills, as well as strong knowledge of the health care market.

14. Keeps current on legislative, payer, market, competitive and industry changes that may impact various corporate strategies, programs and initiatives

17. Demonstrates initiative to carry out assigned responsibilities, keeping constantly alert to new strategic planning and/or research/evaluation opportunities, techniques, and approaches preferred and has the ability to anticipate and manage issues proactively
18. Demonstrates professionalism, poise, and authority along with promoting a strong sense of teamwork, purpose, and team spirit relative to internal planning efforts are preferred.
19. Participate in special projects as necessary
POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s degree in business/hospital administration, health services administration or related field required. Healthcare consulting experience preferred.
Skills: Microsoft Office Suite including Project Manager and other related programs as required. Strong verbal and communication and presentation skills. Established data analytics capabilities to utilize strategic planning related tools and data sets. Organized and detailed oriented related to achieving timelines and milestones. Demonstrated ability to build and establish processes with collaboration and agility.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of increasing responsibility in a healthcare consultancy role, or health care systems with demonstrated success in leading key corporate strategic initiatives
The pay for this position ranges from $145,000 – 185,000 per year.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
