Student Activities Director directs and oversees the development and organization of the university/college's extra-curricular programs including special events. Sets up social events and has a participatory role in the Greek system, the student government, and student run clubs. Being a Student Activities Director approves funding for various student activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Student Activities Director typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Student Activities Director manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Student Activities Director typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School diploma with postgraduate secretarial study preferred
    • High level of technical skills including typing of 60 words per minute and familiarity with a variety of office machines
    • Proficiency with computer applications and technology
    • Ability to serve the public, faculty, and students in professional, efficient, and pleasing manner
    • Ability to manage multiple projects
    • Well-organized and adept at organizational procedures
    • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
    • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may deem
    • appropriate and acceptable


    RESPONSIBILITIES
    :

    • Provide clerical support to the Principal and Principal’s secretary
    • Manage office routines pertaining to mail, telephone, attendance, homework requests,correspondence, and filing systems
    • Handle reports and materials concerning the operation of the office
    • Assist with correspondence, reports, and notices when requested
    • Perform a variety of secretarial duties
    • Perform such other tasks as may from time to time be assigned by the Principal

    : Principal, Assistant Principal, Special Education Building Administrator


    SALARY
    : In accordance with the Secretarial contract.
