TITLE:
Assistant Director of Student Services

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director of Student Services provides leadership in the development, implementation, and monitoring of out of district special education programming. The Assistant Director is responsible for coordinating, monitoring and ensuring the IEP services provided to students with disabilities who are educated outside of the district. Consequently, this position requires ongoing interaction with public and private day and residential schools, parents/guardians, and external service providers. The Assistant Director of Student Services plays a pivotal role in ensuring students receive a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive learning environment and works with the District’s school personnel to facilitate the transition planning for students exiting and re-entering the District.
