Supply Chain Manager manages the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Being a Supply Chain Manager leads coordination activities with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Resolves bottlenecks or problem areas in the supply chain. Additionally, Supply Chain Manager monitors suppliers and service providers for quality and performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Supply Chain Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Supply Chain Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Role & Responsibilities:

    • Leadership of the plant's Supply Chain function consisting of approximately 20 - 25 employees.
    • Timely shipping and delivery of a diversified product mix. Executing short and long range plans to achieve distribution objectives/metrics.
    • Incorporate safety into all facets of daily operations. This includes implementing a high standard of warehouse safety and housekeeping.
    • Promote customer satisfaction initiatives to achieve market penetration and growth.
    • Effective collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure the necessary information is exchanged to solidify relationships.
    • Training, development, and retention of a skilled workforce.
    • Support of continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Responsible for overseeing the activities and tasks performed within the areas of general administration, financial analysis, and business support for a manufacturing facility. May also incorporate delivery of local human resource support.
    • Manages receipt and invoicing activity, resolves invoice exceptions and tracks freight receivers for AP processing.
    • Supports month-end closing activities, financial documentation filing and maintenance, and manages the local bank account.
    • Performs GL entries and balances related to miscellaneous inventory management; prepares, coordinates, and executes cycle counts and physical inventory; and closes inventory, including the review of pending transactions.
    • Supports payroll processing activities including the Kronos time-keeping system.
    • Creates analysis reports for management regarding various cost, efficiency, and inventory trends.

    Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years experience in a supply chain and/or operations-related capacity is strongly preferred.
    • Proven leadership ability is considered a strong asset.
    • Effective collaboration and engagement skills needed to foster teamwork with employees, USG staff, and customers.
    • Well-developed planning and prioritizing capability required to adapt to changing market conditions.
    • Experience in Cost Accounting
    • Ability to operate within a planned budget and hold costs within established goals.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to enable rapport-building with employees.
    • Proven computer skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.


    Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
