Position Title: Director of Employment Services
Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Job Status: Full-Time / Exempt

Description of this role: This position manages the planning and completion of activities related to the monitoring, documenting, and reporting of the employment services activities of the organization.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities - includes the following and other related duties may be assigned.
· Manage the day-to-day activities of the Employment Services team inclusive of case management.
· Completion and distribution of roster.
· Visit department of corrections to present and recruit for agency reentry programs.
· Review and possess a working knowledge of all grants related to the Employment Department.
· Complete reports for grant funded activities and programs.
· Develop and maintain relationships with area employers to acquire employment for FFSC graduates.
· Submit monthly reports to the COO detailing all activities of the employment services group.
· Recruit clients and determine eligibility for the program. Monitor recruiting efforts of the department.
· Manage the needs assessment of those who meet requirements, identify barriers to employment.
· Manage the on-going support for job search and employment (current and past graduates).
· Attend all staff meetings, graduations, events, and others as required. Travel to multiple locations.
· Attend community functions, outreach efforts, and other community activities as needed.
· Conduct staff evaluations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Must be able to successfully manage a team and understand current employment and industry trends.
· Must understand and practice the NASW code of ethics.
· Must have knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
· Must be able to utilize agency and community resources to meet goals.
· Must be team-oriented and able to work independently.
· Must be familiar with MS Office.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
· Master’s Degree in human resources, business, employment relations, community outreach, management or related preferred. Bachelor’s degree in related field in combination with experience may be sufficient.
· Must have competence in working with adults who need direction as it relates to responsible parenting issues as well as reentry population, Corrections, and Department of Justice experience.
· Must have at least 5 years in employment, workforce development, or related capacity, plus previous management experience.
· Must possess a valid Missouri driver’s license and have a reliable, insured vehicle
