Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator is responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Independently operate motor power vehicles such as bulldozers, front-end loaders, forklifts, graders, gradalls, tractor- trailers, drag-lines, claim shells, and other equipment associated with roads and grounds, utilities and facilities maintenance. Perform any work assigned to the employees in the classification. Perform work in other classifications when incidental but necessary to accomplish work assignments.
Operate lifting devices and attach and position cables and ropes. Check equipment prior to and after operations. Secure and protect loads with tarps, covers, slings, cables and ropes. Load and unload vehicles. Perform preventive maintenance inspections, noting any discrepancies for assignment to Heavy Equipment Mechanic for corrective action. Perform required operators maintenance. May provide guidance and direction to lower classified employees, as required. Maintain logs and records, as required. Possess and maintain valid certifications, licenses, permits, as required, for performance of assigned tasks.
High school graduate/GED, Driver License
