We are looking for an experienced and organized Payroll Director to oversee pay schedules for our staff. You will be responsible for ensuring the swift and accurate completion of all employees pay and coordinating updates, changes, or onboarding needs of the company payroll systems. You will be responsible for analyzing payroll data, creating efficient payroll systems, prepare reports related to payroll analysis and report findings to leadership
Our ideal candidate has at least five years of payroll experience, with at least two years in a supervisory role. This candidate will also have health care experience and understand relevant time keeping systems, payroll systems and HR systems associated with health care professionals.
Payroll Manager Duties and Responsibilities
Payroll Manager use excellent technological and mathematical sills to evaluate, process and monitor payroll. They must be extremely organized. Duties include:
Checking timesheets for accuracy, entering data into databases and spreadsheets, processing payroll, acquiring all necessary signatures to distribute payroll, processing wage garnishments, make adjustments in pay for raises and bonuses, interface with payroll teams to assure strict adherence to company policy, monitoring payroll and making recommendations to limit unnecessary spend, adept reporting skills to share with leadership team, update and organize systems to manage payroll information, keep detailed records for audits.
Required Skills and Abilities
Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation balancing, internal control and payroll taxes, excellent organization skills and attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficient in multiple software platforms.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, HR or related field, or 3-5 years of related experience.
CPP certification preferred but not required.
