    Position Summary

    The Electrical Engineering Manager is tasked with supervising all Electrical Engineering team members to create an energetic and positive work environment. By taking a hands-on approach to the job, you can ensure that verification and electrical engineering design methodologies support product and safety requirements, and that processes fall within established timelines. This will allow you to leverage others in the firm to meet and exceed department goals to ensure future success and growth in the industry.


    Job Responsibilities

    •  Supervises a team of Electrical Engineers and Electrical Designers in the execution of project goals and timelines.
    •  Makes direct individual contributions to projects.
    •  Provides electrical engineering recommendations and technical support on electrical engineering reviews, strategic plans, and projects.
    •  Assists with allocation, budgeting, resource planning, and scheduling.
    •  Manages unit and development cost estimations and helps determine affordable and reliable material sources.
    •  Ensures on-time completion of work by collaborating with other leaders to estimate reasonable and precise schedules and solve problems quickly.
    •  Ensure workflow within the Electrical Engineering group is defined and captured in work instructions and procedures. Constantly review workflow to improve efficiency while complying with change control of work instructions and procedures.
    •  Establishes technical standards in reviews, documentation, and designs.

    Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills and Education

    •  Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
    • Master of Science preferred
    •  Minimum 10 years of experience in EE Field
    •  Previous electrical engineering management experience a plus
    •  Able to specify and size motors, drives, circuit protective devices, wire, and power supplies.
    •  Experience designing PLC control systems architectures and networks, I/O module selections.
    •  Familiar with process control instrumentation used in the measurement of vacuum, pressure, temperature, and flow.
    •  Familiar with PI and PID closed loop controls.
    •  Proficient with PLC programming in Ladder Logic, Function Block and Structured Text language techniques.
    •  Familiar with common industrial networks and protocols such as EtherNet/IP, CIP and IO Link.
    •  Experience with Rockwell Automation PLCs and HMI platforms.
    • Siemens S7 a plus
    •  Familiar with Wonderware (InTouch or System Platform) HMI software.
    •  Experience with VFD and Servo control applications.
    •  Experience with Electro-Hydraulic controls and techniques.
    •  Ability to install and configure Windows based PC software.
    •  Ability to interpret NFPA format electrical drawings.
    • Solidworks Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical experience a plus.
    •  Familiar with the codes and principles of NFPA 79, UL508A and the NEC.
    •  Familiar with standard meters and test equipment.
    •  Familiar with PC application software development for industrial controls. Using Visual Studio and the DotNet platform in the C# or Visual Basic programming languages.
    •  Working knowledge of Solidworks Electrical 2D, 3D, AutoCAD design software and Microsoft Office products.
    •  Working knowledge of Allen Bradley/Rockwell Automation Control System Hardware (PLC’s, switches, etc.).

    •  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
