Vishay, Dover, New Hampshire, is currently seeking a full-time Engineering Manager responsible for both Process Engineering and Quality Assurance functions at the Inductors-Custom-Dover manufacturing location. We are looking for an experienced engineer with strong communication, coordination, and supervisory skills. This position requires a great amount of flexibility to support site activities and changes in the business landscape, which can include backing up team members on individual tasks and other details not listed. Job Location: We’re located southwest of downtown Dover which is the largest city in the New Hampshire Seacoast region, the oldest permanent settlement in New Hampshire, and the seventh in the U.S.A. What you will be doing: Direct and coordinate team activities to provide Engineering and Quality support for ongoing production processes and Operations goals and schedules. Interface with Production and NPI stakeholders to coordinate Engineering and Quality activities related to launching new products to production and transferring of production ready parts to other manufacturing sites. Coordinate Engineering and Quality support of targeted Cost Reduction/Continuous Improvement projects. Provide supervisory, performance management, and professional development attention to support individual and overall team growth. Participate in long-term site strategic planning activities including capital project (equipment and facilities) and headcount budgeting and enhancement of best practices/critical processes (organizational knowledge capture and site-wide training/skill development). Lead resolution of customer complaints. Provide clear communication and/or reports to advise on team activities for the site and division levels. Facilitate customer visits and site internal/external audits at the Dover site and support these activities at other manufacturing sites as needed. Facilitate improvement to the QMS for the Dover site, including corporate/divisional level changes and changes to support QMS ISO9001 / AS9100 and IEHS ISO14001/45001. What you will bring along: B.S. in an Engineering or Sciences discipline or equivalent experience. 7 years in direct support of a manufacturing operation in an engineering or quality role. Supervisory and team development experience. Excellent communication skills to deal effectively with team members at all levels in the organization as well as external interested parties (customers, suppliers, service providers, industry/certification professionals, etc.). Knowledge of and experience using tools/methodologies associated with APQP, TQM, Lean/Sigma, TPS, 7S. Knowledge of and experience with industry controls associated with ITAR/CUI/CMMC.
