Systems Engineering Supervisor supervises and implements work related to the planning and engineering of systems infrastructure. Ensures that systems are designed and installed in a manner that meets the needs of the organization. Being a Systems Engineering Supervisor oversees the performance of the systems and recommends improvements as needed. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Systems Engineering Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Systems Engineering Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. - Project management
- Sub-consultant coordination
- Project/task scheduling
- Civil design
- Plan production oversight
- Preparing cost estimates
- Client interaction and development
- Technical experience should include:
- Geometric design for roadways
- Drainage design
- Construction sequencing and traffic control
- Utility relocation coordination
- Marketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals and letters of interest, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE)
- Eight (8) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience
- Practical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM), and the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD)
- Experience with MicroStation, Geopak or InRoads and/or other roadway design software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office
Preferred Skills:- Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on transportation projects
- 3D Design experience
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Arkansas, or will have the ability to obtainreciprocity within three months of hire
