Systems Engineering Supervisor jobs in South Dakota

We are now expanding our Engineering Team here at Showplace Cabinetry! In this position, you will assist with the design, programming, integration, and maintenance of automated systems and equipment. This includes collaborating with the engineering and production teams to ensure the efficient operation of automated processes. This position will involve implementing and optimizing robotic and control systems, contributing to increased productivity, quality, and safety within the manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:

• Install, set up, configure and maintain automation equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotic systems, and other automated machinery systems.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement upgrades and modifications to existing automation systems.
• Participate in the design and implementation of automated systems.
• Maintain detailed records of automation system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities.
• Train production personnel on the proper operation and basic troubleshooting of automated systems.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in automation technology.

Other duties may be assigned, requested, or directed.

Equipment/Machinery/Tools Used:

Computer, MS Excel, AutoCAD, PLC programming, SQL programming, miscellaneous technical meters/tools

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Associates Automation Degree and/or 0-3 years of automation and controls experience

PLC, SQL, AutoCAD, MS Excel fluency

Strong logic/analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
