Description: Our client is currently seeking a Engineering Supervisor (Network & Systems)
This position will be primarily remote - onsite in Long Beach, CA 1-3x per month for meetings.

o Someone that can help with day to day operational work. Struggling right now because current day team is a small lean group and handle everything from ops/lights/projects

o More operational type resource

o Help interact with vendors, deal with software renewals, help manage service and incident tickets, and any other administrative tasks.

o Network - Cisco Shop, Palo Alto Firewalls

o Systems - Windows, Some Linux, VMWare shop, Cisco UCS Servers, NetApp Storage. In the cloud experience with primarily Azure, AWS, Teams, OneDrive and Microsoft suite

o Vendor Management - work with a lot of vendors, lots of renewals that we make sure we address. Budgeting on these tools SCAN is using. A lot of communication and approvals, working with various departments. Hardware/Software - new orders, delivery is on time and handled.

o Renewals/Licensing - someone that can track the usage of some of the licensing and compliant with their agreements. Staying within compliance

o Service Request Management & Incident Tickets - Avanti is the tool they use for ticketing. Easy to learn. Struggle they have now is the same team that is working on critical projects, have to also maintain the day to day work and handle these tickets. Need to alleviate some of that pain, stay on top of staff to ensure the lights are staying on.
This job will have the following responsibilities:

• o Projects
  
  SYSTEMS Side
  
  Cloud Migration - moving from on premise to OneDrive
  
  Migrating personal folders, home drives to OneDrive.
  
  Decommissioning Disaster Recovery site in Phoenix, and moving that into Azure. Replicating everything first - then decommission
  
  In middle of Exchange Online project
  
  Tasked with looking at existing On Prem Systems to see whether or not to see if they are candidates to move to the cloud.
  
  NETWORK Side
  
  Wireless replacement project
  
  Upgrading Cisco UCS servers
  
  Replacing IDF Switches
  
  Supporting OneDrive migrations to ensure enough bandwidth as they are moving all the files
  
  Upgrading Internet circuits to ensure they have enough bandwidth.
  
  Once DR site is decommissioned - setting up connectivity to Azure

Qualifications & Requirements:

• - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  
  - Working knowledge of basic systems like Active Directory, Windows servers, and networking basics.
  
  - Preferred certified in Microsoft technologies like Azure Cloud and TEAMS
  
  - Proven 5 years' experience in IT administration and vendor management.
  
  - Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  
  - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
  - Proficiency in using IT management tools and software.
  
  - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  
  - Familiarity with IT procurement and budgeting processes is a plus.
  
  - IT certifications (e.g., ITIL) are desirable but not required.
